April’s Book of the Month is The Littlest Drop by Sascha Alper. This gentle and beautifully told story follows a tiny hummingbird who wonders if something so small can really make a difference. As the journey unfolds, the hummingbird carries small drops of water, discovering that even the smallest actions can ripple outward in powerful and unexpected ways. With rich, expressive illustrations, the book invites readers to see how kindness, courage, and persistence can grow into something much bigger. It’s a hopeful and empowering read that reminds us all that no contribution is ever too small to matter.

Line4Line’s April Book of the Month Program continues to empower youth as change-makers. Line4Line creates a Reader’s Guide & Activity Bookmark available with each book. This month, we’re exploring how small contributions can grow into something meaningful. Inspired by illustrator Brian Pinkney, who built upon artwork first begun by his father, Jerry Pinkney, we’re reminded how one person’s beginnings can become something new through another’s creativity. What might look like just a few marks at first can transform into something entirely unexpected when someone else adds their perspective. What will you discover hidden in the lines?
